BINGO TERMS
Back when bingo was new in my hometown, we played bingo every Sunday night. At that time they used the hard Bingo cards and they had racks to put your bingo cards on so they weren't flat on the table.... well one Sunday night we were playing bingo and I wasn't getting any bingo numbers so I was spending most of my time looking around. Well I saw a bingo card which only needed one number... all of a sudden they called the number and no one said bingo... so I yelled bingo and raised my hand. The bingo worker came over and I sent him to 3 tables away to pay the bingo winning card. The lady didn't know she had bingo. She didn't even give me a tip
BINGO ~~ ODD BEHAVIOR
What a strange world bingo is, the behavior of some bingo players has to be seen to be believed. If you were a fly on the wall these are some the antics you might see.
Firstly ~ the precise way in which people place their equipment ~~ Bingo Cards in the center with their bingo dabbers all lined up above.
Secondly ~ their favorite lucky charm, mascot or some other strange object is placed just to the left just in reach, ready to be PATTED ~ SLAPPED ~ TURNED FACE AWAY (in disgrace) and occasionally even KISSED as they play Bingo.
Thirdly ~ Be careful anyone who dares to sit in another bingo player's favorite seat. This is a HUGE SIN and can cause a fearful situation, or even worse ~ Come to blows.
Last of all ~ The black looks, scowls and the odd hiss or two if you should dare to cough, splutter, sneeze or even choke while the bingo numbers are being called.
MY OWN WORST HATE IT IS:
The Bingo player who talks out loud when they are waiting for just one bingo number.
For e.g. Come on SAY IT, SAY IT or they say the bingo number they are waiting for, OVER & OVER AGAIN. I usually find myself praying that the winning bingo number will not be theirs.
BORED - RETIRED - DESPERATE
What to do with myself ?? I got interested in playing the pokies (Slots), then became scared, I was fast becoming *ADDICTED* thus reducing my resources to a dangerous level.
THEN - I discovered the Weird & Wonderful World of Bingo.
Some may argue that I just swapped one form of gambling for another.
TRUE - BUT - it is controlled, you buy the bingo number of books up front that you can comfortably play with and that is all you need to spend for the session of bingo.
I became so keen on bingo that I no longer wasted my time and money at the Casino.

It's not a sin if you should win, although it's hard to wear a grin.
